The occasion – the testimonial match of Martin Kamburov, the all-time top scorer in the history of Bulgaria’s elite football league. More than 10,000 fans filled the stands to bid farewell to their football hero with applause, admiration, and a celebration the city hadn’t witnessed in decades.

The Legends of Bulgaria faced off against the Legends of Lokomotiv Plovdiv in a match that ended 3:3. Kamburov himself scored two goals and made one assist. On the field with him were iconic names like Hristo Stoichkov, Krasimir Balakov, Stiliyan Petrov, Valeri Bozhinov, Martin Petrov, Georgi Iliev, and more of Bulgarian football’s greatest.

The event was packed with quality performances, friendly banter, smiles, and energy that will remain in the hearts of everyone present. All proceeds from the event were donated by Kamburov to Lokomotiv’s official foundation.
