Fried Sprat Festival in Balchik

Three days of music, sea, and freshly fried sprat – that’s how Balchik welcomed the start of summer with one of the most beloved events on the Northern Black Sea coast: the Fried Sprat Festival. From June 13 to 15, 2025, the White Town became a stage for culinary delights, concerts, and fun for all ages.

Among the musical highlights were the Greek star Dimitris Papadopoulos, Deep Zone Project, as well as Bulgarian icons Guna Ivanova and the Argirov Brothers, who brought the audience back to the golden years of Bulgarian music. The program also included puppet theatre, family games, creative workshops, and traditional competitions like the “Beer Mile” and “Running in Heels.”
