OoYes as Part of the Nikulden Celebration in Burgas
Burgas has holidays that can be felt long before they officially begin — and Nikulden is one of them. It is a day when the city feels more united, more cheerful and full of shared spirit. Early in the morning the streets come alive: people with umbrellas heading to the liturgy, families walking towards the city center, others stopping for a bowl of fish soup… A city waking up in its own way.
The celebration started with a festive liturgy at the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. Soon after, brave swimmers entered the cold waters near the Pier, following the tradition of the morning swim led by world-record holder Tsanko Tsankov. At the outdoor fitness area by the Central Beach, Olympic medalist Yordan Yovchev proved once again that sport has no holidays — especially on the city’s special day.

In the city center the atmosphere gradually changed. People gathered for the raising of the European and municipal flags, members of the City Council headed to their official session, and Atanas Sirekov Square once again became a place filled with festive rhythm.
Around midday came one of the most anticipated moments: the blessing of the traditional Nikulden table and the distribution of the fish soup. People of all ages patiently waited for a portion of the traditional meal — a gesture that every year brings a feeling of community.
Throughout the day, different events took place across Burgas — concerts, demonstrations, processions, meetings, exhibitions. Every part of the program attracted visitors, and everything was organized calmly, precisely and in the spirit of the celebration.

What Was the Role of OoYes?
When a city hosts many activities, large visitor flows and events happening in multiple locations, it needs reliable and well-planned infrastructure. This is exactly where we stepped in.
OoYes provided:
- M125 crowd-control barriers – ensuring safety and guiding visitor flow around key event areas;
- Solid panel fences – defining restricted zones and separating technical or service areas;
- A mobile sink – supporting hygiene throughout the event;
- Waste bins – placed strategically along the event route.
Our goal was to help the celebration run smoothly, cleanly and safely, so people could enjoy the day without thinking about logistics.

Burgas Has Character — and Celebrates With Character
Nikulden is a holiday that isn’t defined by the weather, the rain or the cold sea. It is a day of memory, tradition, sport, music and people who keep the maritime spirit of the city alive. For us at OoYes, it is an honour to once again support the organization of Burgas’ official holiday.
Working in the city where our headquarters is located — and contributing to its important days — is both a responsibility and a privilege.
Happy Nikulden, Burgas! Until next year — may the city stay just as vibrant, organised and united.
