The “Dripava Banitsa” Festival once again brought together the flavors of Bulgaria and the hearts of hundreds of guests! Its eighth edition, held in the village of Vurbitsa, exceeded all expectations — with over 350 varieties of banitsa, a vibrant folklore program, competitions, exhibitions, and well-deserved applause for culinary masters from across the country.

This year, the seasoned “masters of filo pastry” were joined by many young enthusiasts. Fun contests such as banitsa-eating and ayran-drinking competitions added extra laughter and joy to the festive spirit.

Organizers also catered to the youngest attendees. Special children’s workshops were held, where kids explored the secrets of traditional cooking while having fun and learning through play.

The festival featured a rich folklore program with local amateur groups and guest performers, along with a culinary exhibition and live demonstrations that added depth and excitement to the event.
