Safety and Comfort at the Gabrovo Carnival with Mobile Equipment from OoYes
History and Traditions of the Gabrovo Carnival
The Gabrovo Carnival, known since the late 19th century as Oleliynya, begins on the Saturday before Sirni Zagovezni. In the 1920s, masked balls were held in Gabrovo, which became the precursors of today’s humor carnival. The first carnival parade in its modern form was organized in 1965, and in 2000, Gabrovo became a member of the Foundation of European Carnival Cities. This year, the carnival was held under the motto: "MAKE CARNIVAL NOT WAR."
Traditionally, the carnival procession started from Aprilov Blvd., passed by the National Aprilov High School, through the official stands at Vazrazhdane Square, past the Lion's Bridge, and ended at the roundabout near the Consultative Clinic.
This year, the carnival procession included guests from distant Korea, Japan, and the USA. The carnival concluded with the traditional "cutting of the cat's tail" with giant scissors by the Mayor of Gabrovo, Mrs. Tanya Hristova.
Mobile Equipment from OoYes
OoYes's crowd control mobile fences ensured the safety of all participants and guests. "Anti-crowd" fences were positioned along the central streets of Gabrovo, ensuring that the procession moved smoothly and safely.
To provide maximum comfort for attendees, we supplied portable chemical toilets positioned at key points along the procession route. This ensured that all guests could enjoy the event without worrying about sanitary conditions.
